This is an informal blog entry.
-Life is hard. I'm stressed out. I'm confused.
-I'm beginning to like my college life, though.
-I'm learning how to cope and survive in this big, bad and blue school.
-I'm trying to make as much friends as I can but I only have a few close friends.
-I love dinners. =P It's the most fun part of my day.
-We had the university cheer rally from three to five in the afternoon (or did it end up at six?)
-Elaine, AC and I had to leave early because we still had our math diagnostic test.
-I pray na sana pumasa ako sa diagnostic test. I don't want to be transferred to basic math. One basic subject is enough!
-Should I believe or should I not? Will it be a yes or a no?
-All I want is one thing for my birthday and I don't think I will have it.
-Lunches at Manang's with Elaine.
-Trike every morning. Long walks every after class.
-I'm still in regular Filipino. =P
-Room 407.
-Block r3.
-Soccer every monday and wednesday with Cara, Jas and Elaine.
-I'm sorry, I'm just in basic english.
-I need to improve my writing and reading skills.
-Am I nakakahiya?
-UAAP starts soon.
-What do I want?
-Piso?... Trike...? or Fried chicken...?
-I want the third one....ssh!

Home Sweet Home
I have been a university student for only 12 days (including Reg Day, Guidance Testing, OrSem and regular class days) and I am already stressed out!
We had diagnostic tests in English and Filipino and for English, I'm still in basic. The Filipino diagnostic test results will be released on Tuesday, I pray that I will be in regular Filipino.
Math diagnostic test will be on June 29, I think?
I also pray that I'll stay in Sir Teng's class in Math 11.
There are a lot of homeworks and projects given to us.
I didn't expect college life will be this hard.
But this is just my first year (and first sem) in the Ateneo and I can't seem to handle everything.
I sometimes think of giving up.
I'm actually scared of having a QPI less than 2 because once you hit the bottom, it's bye-bye Ateneo na.
And I don't want that to happen.
I'll try my very best and not give up.
I now live with the motto:
"If you ever think of giving up, think about why you held on for so long."
Atleast, I befriended a number of my blockmates na.
I'm starting to love my life in the university.
But I admit, it's kind of hard but I just have to deal with it.
I have close friends na.
They are:
Grace, Anna, and Aime.
We had the rec week last June 18-21,2007.
I signed-up for ACTM, Musmos, ACLC, and Loyola Mountaineers.
I'm not sure if I could be active in all those orgs but if I can't, I will be forced to give up one or two of those orgs.
Today is Faculty Day and I am in Calasiao right now.
My last class yesterday ended at 4:30 pm, I went back to my dorm first, fixed my things and headed to the bus terminal at once.
I arrived home at around 10:30 pm.
I brought my homeworks with me.
I'll be back in Q.C. on Sunday.
That's it for now, I'm kind of busy.
'Til next time!

Matteo's Girl
Who's Matteo?
It's Matteo Ricci. It's a building in the Ateneo that provides Ateneans a place to study.
It's air-conditioned, by the way.
It's the perfect place to study, sleep and look for cuties.
hahahaha.
It's where I hang out during my break time after eating my snacks/lunch.
Right now, I'm with Elaine Yeung, she's my blockmate.
Our next class will be PE at 3 pm and it's only 12:20 pm on the brown wall clock hanging on this room.
This week is RecWeek and I'm planning to join Musmos, ACLC, Guidon, Gawad Kalinga, YFC, ACTM, and a lot more.
It's still unofficial, though.
I have to limit myself and join just two or three.
We have to report in PE and I think I bought the wrong shin guards and it's too expensive pa!
I don't want to spend again to buy shin guards because I get to use it only for a sem.
Oh my!
I better choose the perfect PE next sem.

It's The First Day Of School, Y'know! =P
Hahahaha.
I'm sorry for the lame title.
Okay, first day of class went well.
I had Math 11 for my first class.
Ate Coreen accompanied me to my room.
She is a sophomore and she's really nice.
It's a good thing we didn't have a diagnostic test in Math because I hate math!
Math kills me!
Our prof is really nice.
He's Sir Timothy Teng.
I pray that I'll pass the diagnostic test in order for me to stay in Math 11 or else it's basic math for me.
Next class is basic english.
We had a test.
Part I and II plus the vocabulary was fine, what messed up my day was the essay part!
Wooh!
My mind is still on vacation.
Geez,
After English class, I went back to my dorm, ate my lunch and bought some stuff in National bookstore.
After that, I went back to the Ateneo, specifically in Matteo Ricci.
I transferred my notes in Math in another notebook and slept until 2 pm.
By 2:15 pm, I started walking and I was on my way to the cov courts.
When I got there, I don't know anyone, so I went back.
While I was walking, I saw Jas and her friend and we went to the cov courts together.
Elaine showed up a few minutes later.
We met our teacher and classmates in soccer, and we were given a topic that we have to report on Monday!
Shucks!
I don't know a thing about goal clearance.
That was the topic given to me.
And I have to buy a white PE shirt, black shorts, shin guards (is the spelling correct?), and knee-high socks.
Well, the first day of school was bearable naman.
I met new friends again, except for English class.
I'll have ES 10 and Filipino 11 tomorrow.
I hope tomorrow will be a better day and hopefully, I'll meet a lot of new friends.
For those people who had their first day of class today, I hope you had fun, too!

A New Life Begins Tomorrow
Classes start tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be the first day of the first semester of my first year in college.
Wow!
I can't believe I'm in college now.
Time flew waaaaaaay too fast!
I don't know how I feel.
Everything is different right now.
I live in a different place away from home.
I don't live with my family but instead I share a room with my dormmate/roommate, Grace.
She's from Baguio City, by the way.
I don't eat lutong bahay anymore.
I always eat outside.
Living in Katipunan doesn't leave you much choice but to eat chicken.
Most of the restaurants or fastfood chains found in Katips serve chicken.
Chicken, chicken, chicken!
Whether it be fried chicken, roasted chicken, chicken inasal---name it! I ate it!
In Katipunan, there is KFC, Max's, Chicken Bacolod, Kenny Rogers, Jollibee, Mcdo, etc.
Though, we also have Yellow Cab and Pizza Hut in Katips, I don't want to eat pizza for my lunch or dinner because I want rice.
Anyway, it's 8:55 pm on my clock.
I need to go now.
God bless to all of us.

Money, where are you?
I woke up at around 10:45 am.
I decided to eat my brunch.
I got up from my bed, fixed myself, got my wallet, put it in my bag and off i went to hunt for the perfect resto that will fill my tummy with yummy food.
As I walked along Katipunan, Chicken Bacolod caught my eye.
So, I decided to eat my brunch in there.
I sat down, ordered chicken inasal *yum**yum*, and waited for about ten minutes.
Finally, my order was served.
I had about five spoonfuls of that delicious chicken inasal when I realized that I don't have money in my wallet!!
Uh-oh!
I stopped eating. I thought of a way on how to get back to my dorm and get my money without letting the waiters or anyone know about it.
I thought of asking someone in my dorm to get my money for me but it was so embarassing.
I thought of another way.
I got up, told the cute waiter (honest! one of the waiters is cute!) that my mom's in my dorm and I need to go there for a while.
I told him I'll leave my phone and bag in order for them to be sure that I'll be back.
So, I left and ran back to my dorm.
hahahaha.
I got my money, and ran back to the resto.
Whew!
That was tiring and I was hungry more than ever.
I wolfed down my food, paid my bill, scribbled on the receipt that "ang cute naman po nung isang waiter niyo =P hahaha"(ask me why I did that...I also don't know the answer), and left at once.
hahaha.
Yuck, Justine!
Now, can you call that embarassing?

Soundcheck!!!
OrSem2007: Soundcheck!
The upperclassmen of the Ateneo welcomed the newest batch of students in the Loyola Schools, the Freshies.
They prepared a three-day orientation seminar filled with fun activities, helpful talks, and tiring tours.
The Orientation Seminar or OrSem as we call it is the best thing that could ever happen to a freshman.
This year's theme is Soundcheck.
Here is something that I copied from the OrSem letter:
Soundcheck is perfectly orchestrated to help you harmonize with the acoustics of the Ateneo community. Just like in an orchestra, each one of us has his own instrument. Each one plays different notes. When combined, these notes can form delightful symphonies that move our emotions and describe our own identity as Ateneans - as one big family.
We look forward to being part of this greatest concert in your life - college.
Honestly, for the first two days, I didn't enjoy much. It's not because the activities were boring. The activities were great but it's sad because I didn't make friends yet. For the third day, that's when I gained (a few) new friends.
On the first day...
When we arrived in the cov courts, we registered.
Then the OrSem started with a mass officiated by Fr. Nebres.
After the mass, we went to the Henry Lee Irwin Theatre for the Loyola Schools Presentation.
Some videos were shown and some talks were given then we went back to the cov courts to eat our lunch.
After eating lunch, we went to Faura and had our GDs or group dynamics.
We played some games. The first game was Pornstar game, I think.
And my pornstar name is "Potchie San Miguel".
hahaha.
On the second day...
We had the morning show. This is when the Blue Babble Battalion or BBB, performed and taught us the cheers of the Ateneo.
After that, we had our council tours.
Went to HLI Theatre again, watched the OrSem film made by the Loyola Film Circle.
Then followed by the organizational talks.
After that, we went back to the cov courts and ate lunch.
After lunch, we had some more GDs in the same location, in Faura.
For SOM students like me, we went back to HLI Theatre for our SOM Night.
The SOM night's theme/title is:
Atenista
Big Brother
seaSOM 5
Some alumni went there. The only person I remembered is Karylle. The other two, uhm---I forgot their names but the woman is a model and the man is a musician.
On the third day...
We had another morning show.
Followed by Course and Department Talks, this is when we get to learn more about our course and some alumni of this course told us what they do now.
Then we ate our lunch followed by a campus tour and then the OrSem night!
The best activity so far.
The bands who played:
Dicta License, Kjwan, Hale, Chicosci (this is love :P), and Spongecola.
We also had the OrSem Idol(one for singing and one for dancing) in which you can win an iPod video.
Our host for the OrSem Idol is Nikki Gil.
I love Miggy! I'm near the front stage pa!
Yikee!
Even if siksikan and people were sweating ( of course I couldn't do anything but bear with it), I just enjoyed the night.
I never missed an OrSem activity.
I will definitely join the OrCom next year.
I love the TnTs (this is the kind of TnT that will NOT explode, okay?).
They're crazy, fun and full of energy.

hahahaha.
Funny TnTs but I love them expecially block R3's TnTs, Kuya Lui and Ate Peanuts.
Biased ba?
hahahaha.
Pero really, I love them... no doubt.
They danced on top of the monoblock chairs.
hahaha.
I love the Banana, Chuga, and the sexy Pacific Ring of Fire.
TnT means Talk and Tours, by the way.
Thank you TnTs and Logs, thank you OrCom, thank you upperclassmen, and thank you Ateneo for welcoming us in the university.
I really feel very happy because I am a part of your big family and you made us feel really special because the OrSem's well-prepared.
For our sponsors:
Tradeport.com, Figaro, Lipton, Hangten, P&G, Jollibee, MYX, and a lot more (sorry I forgot)...thank you so much!
I love Ateneo!!
Side note: I love Ateneo daw...pero pag classes na. I hate Ateneo na siguro dahil sa terror profs, harder subjects(aihy sh*t! math!) and a lot of projects.
Dapat talaga hindi ako maevict sa bahay ni kuya (ateneo).

Goodbye Old Life, Hello New!
Right now, I am sitting on my swivel chair, typing a new blog entry.
I'm sorry because I wasn't able to go online last night and tell something about our enrolment and my first night away from home.
Well, yesterday, freshies were asked to register alone. The process was looong and tiring. I didn't make new friends and that's the sad part. Though, I saw some acquaintances and they're Chris and AC.
After the enrolment, my tita, some family friend and I went to SM. I don't want to tell every single detail because for sure I would be sad and cry again.
For the first few hours that I spent here in my dorm, I felt so alone. I called my lola mommy in Calasiao because nahohomesick talaga ako.
Good thing, my roommate who came from Baguio arrived later that night.
Her name is Grace. It is such a small world because she was from the same school as my tito Francis/Kidas came from(they're batchmates actually).
Today, Jessica Lazaro fetched me at my dorm and we both went to ADMU for our Guidance Testing. I was so sleepy talaga that time.
I met Elaine Yeung nga din pala.
Anyway, this is my Ateneo ID. Geez, I don't look good (as always). And I hate my signature, haha! I changed my signature anyway. And the new one is the official one.
Like plan on what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Bring your dirty clothes in the laundry shop.
Hays.
But I really do feel sad.
There's something missing.
And going to ADMU doesn't excite me anymore.
Why should I look forward to it if I only know a few people and what do I do when I'm not with them?
I'm alone and that's sad.
I'm alone and that's sad.
If you only know how it feels to be alone.
It's not really nice.
And for some people, life's ok. It is because some (if not most) of their schoolmates in high school are also studying in ADMU right now.
I really hope I could make a lot of new friends tomorrow.
OrSem starts tomorrow.
Anyway, this is my life now.
A new life began yesterday.
This is my home, my place.
